Conference Charity

The Organising Committee is pleased to advise the EON Aboriginal Foundation has been selected as the 20th National Family Law Conference Charity.

The Conference's support of EON Aboriginal Foundation will help improve health and wellbeing for Aboriginal children and their families in remote communities. Their long-term program revolves around the establishment of edible gardens in schools and communities. The gardens are used as a tool by children and community members to learn about growing, harvesting, cooking and eating nutritious food. It is a practical and effective preventative health program, helping to Close the Gap. Research has shown that with support from programs such as EON’s Thriving Communities, Aboriginal communities can turn high rates of diabetes around.
